Kim is a reporter at Newstapa, an investigative news publication run by the Korean Center for Investigative Journalism. Previously, he worked as an investigative reporter at the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) from 2001 to 2013. He covers politics and government for KCIJ and has won several prestigious journalism awards. Recently, he and his Newstapa colleagues broke the story of a sex scandal involving Samsung Chairman Kun-hee Lee.You an read about the story's aftermath here.
