I am a self-employed journalist from Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. I was a full time journalist with more than 18 years of experience worked for Indosiar TV, Daai TV, tvOne and LKBN Antara (Indonesian News Agency) that start from a reporter position in 1995 to editorial position. Since 2006 while working as a journalist, I am regularly teaching on courses broadcast journalism such as in-depth reporting, writing & producing TV news, documentary and so on for undergraduate journalism student.
In September 2014 , I decided to switch from full time journalist to self-employed. Since that I become interested in data-driven journalism and taking self-learning the data journalism. In early May 2016, I took the initiative to set up and manage KabarData.com an online media that focus on data-driven journalism storytelling and data-visualization. At the same time, I also founded akademidata.org, a data-driven journalism learning center for Indonesian.
