Elizabeth Lucas is the former director of the NICAR Database Library at the U.S.-based Investigative Reporters and Editors. She came to IRE from The Center for Public Integrity in Washington, DC, where she analyzed data for investigative projects on political, environmental and health topics. She now works for Kaiser Health News as a correspondent in Washington D.C.
