Plenary: The Panama Papers -- Lessons Learned & The Road Ahead
This year's massive leak of documents exposing offshore holdings -- the Panama Papers -- has changed the way journalists think about their craft. Collaboration, tech-savvy data analysis, and cross-border reporting are the new buzzwords, as the news media from Berlin to Bogota try to follow the success of this project.

Behind the Panama Papers is a small nonprofit with big reach -- the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. Through members and partners in 80 countries, ICIJ's team pored through 11.5 million records to reveal the holdings of 12 current and former world leaders and 128 other politicians and public officials, tying a secretive industry of law firms and big banks to politicians, fraudsters and drug traffickers as well as billionaires, celebrities and sports stars.

Today's plenary panel features many of ICIJ's key Asian partners. Come hear not only about how ICIJ and its colleagues broke the biggest story of the year, but about what lessons they learned and how we apply those lessons to the future.
