Nguyen Ha Phuong

VnExpress International
Data Journalist
Ha-Phuong is an aspiring early-career journalist based in Vietnam.
She has been working as a data journalist at VnExpress International, the most read English language newspaper in Vietnam since 2016 and is the sole person in charge of the newspaper's 'Data speaks' section.
She quantifies everything she can then tells stories through her data analysis and my data visualizations.
If traditional journalists interview people, she interviews spreadsheets.
Ha-Phuong's career objective is to make data great again. Since the beginning of 2017, Ha-Phuong has collaborated with some data labs and data centers in Vietnam to promote data journalism. She has been the data trainer for several data-driven journalism workshops.
But her life does not only revolve around data, charts, and maps. When she is not speaking with data, Ha-Phuong acts as a financial journalist, aiming to support Vietnam's integration into the global market by reporting on business and finance with in-depth analysis of the markets.
