Mr. Govinda Pariyar is an award winning investigative journalist having strong zest and passion in journalism and social research. He has over ten years experience in reporting, writing and editing for print and online media as well as contemporary social research. Currently he is working with Annapurna Post daily as a senior correspondent.
Early in 2012, he won an investigative reporting award from the British Embassy, Kathmandu, the Thomson Foundation U.K. and the Center of Investigative Journalism (CIJ) Nepal for a series of investigative stories.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University of Nepal and Journalism and Media studies from the Ohio University, USA. In 2013, he was awarded as a scholar of five weeks Media convergence course held in London organized by the Thomsom Foundation, the UK, throughout the global computation. He is also alumni of US government, Department of State and Australian Leadership Award Fellowship program.
