Using Database Managers (A Demonstration)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Database managers are designed to allow you to quickly search, summarize and connect databases. They are one of the most powerful tools for journalists. While they take a little longer to learn than spreadsheet software, they are one of the three basic tools for a data journalist.
This session will demonstrate how they be used to produce groundbreaking stories.

Those taking our hands-on data training should bring their own laptops or tablets and, if possible, have Microsoft Excel (the spreadsheet software) loaded on their computers.
