Visualizing Data

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Visualization is among the most exciting aspects of the data journalism revolution. There's no substitute for bringing to life a story through smart, data-driven imagery, animations, and video.  There are now many ways to visualize data for stories. This session will demonstrate how to think about visualizing data and how to choose the right approach and software, whether it's charts, maps, timelines, or other tools. Among the tools demonstrated will be infogr, pitochart, Gifmaker and Explee (for making videos).
